Coarse FR is composed of HE class Portland cement, redispersible polymer powders, reinforcing fibres, graded sands and workability admixtures. The formulation provides optimum performance, durability and ease of application Coarse FR should only be applied over properly prepared substrata, free of dirt, dust, grime or any other contaminants which may effect product adhesion

Description

General Information

Coarse FR is a fibre reinforced, polymer modified cementitious render suitable for application to rigid masonry surfaces with sufficient porosity. Coarse grade, extended working time and fibre reinforcement make Coarse FR ideal for application to AAC blocks & panels.

Application
Apply Coarse FR to the substrate using a steel float at a thickness of 3-8 mm per coat. Take care to coat evenly. Allow the applied material to firm up sufficiently on the substrate prior to finishing with a large plastic, polystyrene or timber float. Coarse FR can be ‘ruled-off’ if necessary and must be allowed to cure for a minimum of 4 days prior to the application of a paint or textured finish coat system. Areas subject to entrapped moisture will require a substantially longer curing period prior to the application of topcoats. Coarse FR should not be applied during extremely hot or windy conditions and should be protected from rain and running water until set. Do not apply greater than 10 mm total finished render thickness. If reinforcing mesh or tape is to be incorporated as part of an approved coating system, ensure the
mesh is embedded into the wet render close to the outer face. Do not press the mesh hard against the surface and do not use self-adhesive mesh or tape applied directly to the substrate prior to rendering
